Otis Clay vs. Sungha Jung

Otis Clay:

Sungha Jung:

Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. Only one cover tune will live to play another day and it is your solemn responsibility to decide which one prevails. So tell me … Which Side Are You On?!!?

Also, keep in mind that if you should spontaneously self-actualize while playing a cover then you could – and probably should – nominate it for Top 10 (i.e. “Impeccable”) consideration.

    Sungha, Sungha, SUNGHA!!!

Actually, I like both of the covers MUCH more than I like the original. But I love just about everything I’ve ever heard Sungha Jung do. So I’d cast my vote with him.

The original is pretty sappy and played-out. Yet it is a well done love song. If I had not heard it two million times I’d like it a lot more today. Sungha is amazing. He just could be a regular contributor …

Tough call. Loved the acoustic version, but I’m in the electric noise mood today.
