A Cappella at its best …
Chuck Prophet & Scott Matthews:
Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. Only one cover tune will live to play another day and it is your solemn responsibility to decide which one prevails. So tell me … Which Side Are You On?!!?
Also, keep in mind that if you should spontaneously self-actualize while playing a cover then you could – and probably should – nominate it for Top 10 (i.e. “Impeccable”) consideration.

Crys?
It was late, I had four more blogs to schedule before I could leave town today and the first video I watched on YouTube spelled it “Crys”. I thought maybe Jimi titled it that way and I did not have the energy/time/inclination to look it up at that point. Yet still pretty lame on my part. I’ll fix it, okay?!!?
I really enjoy The Bobs’ work. By it’s nature (i.e. A Cappella) it’s virtually always interesting and often cracks me up. But I think I’ll go with CP & SM on this in a very close competition. They do a superlative job in capturing the ethereal mood inherent to Jimi’s version.
Had to give to the Bobs, even though I really liked the horns in the CP & SM arrangement and the vocals at the beginning that sounded like the vocalist was coached by Lou Reed
I love this song it’s beautiful
