Eddie Vedder:

The Waterboys:

Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. Only one cover tune will live to play another day and it is your solemn responsibility to decide which one prevails. So tell me … Which Side Are You On?!!?

Also, keep in mind that if you should spontaneously self-actualize while playing a cover then you could – and probably should – nominate it for Top 10 (i.e. “Impeccable”) consideration.

The Waterboys are Better Than Vedder

I usually try and keep the same band from appearing more than once within a couple of weeks but somehow The Waterboys snuck back in for an encore.

I’ll choose The Waterboys over Eddie Vedder.

In the interest of full disclosure, I’ll admit I was never a Pearl Jam fan. In the nineties I worked in a place
that had a jukebox where Pearl Jam must have been the most often played “artist”.

Thanks. I did a brief Dylan posting this morning. Please stop by and visit some time.

  4. Arnold Plotnick says:

I’m a big Pearl Jam fan and I really love Vedder’s voice. The Waterboys are great, too, and both versions are great. But I’m givin’ it to Eddie.
