Beautiful, beautiful song and if you don’t think so you’re flat out wrong …

Me First & The Gimme Gimmes:
Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. Only one cover tune will live to play another day and it is your solemn responsibility to decide which one prevails. So tell me … Which Side Are You On?!!?
Also, keep in mind that if you should spontaneously self-actualize while playing a cover then you could – and probably should – nominate it for Top 10 (i.e. “Impeccable”) consideration.

Richie’s record collection is heavily weighted with songs from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. I don’t know why.
I like there name and they’re all kinda cute.
I’m going with Me First & The Gimme Gimmes primarily because I like their name and they’re all kinda cute. Additionally I did not feel that Lady Black Mambazo and Des’ree took the song seriously enough.
I’ve gone to listening to these tracks mostly with headphones and it makes a difference. it brings out strong instrumentation but also the subtleties. LBM/Des’ree’s had a warmth and touch that poured like honey on Sunday biscuit. MF&GGs are consistently fun and for a band that rocks up slower songs is pretty good at varied arrangements. You felt they did take the song seriously?
