Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On?!!?

I so bored with foreign bands trying to establish street cred by playing this song. I liked the production of Totaldeterminacion’s version the best. It sounds like it was recorded in somebody’s basement with only one mic for everybody to share. Kinda sounds like an outtake from the first Ramones album, except for the vocals of course. Joey could barely speak English, let alone Spanish.

  2. Arnold Plotnick says:

I love the Clash, and their first album is one of the greatest debut albums ever released, in my opinion. I’ve always had mixed feelings about this song. I appreciate the sentiment, but musically, I never thought it was one of the stronger songs on the album. All three cover versions here were meh. I give it to the Mods, I guess, but I can’t give you any logical reason why.

  3. RDubbs says:

Tough one between The Mods and Total Determincion. I went with TD because I’m very impressed with the guy standing on his head. Add to it that Latin America has infinitely more reasons to be “bored” with the U.S.A. than Great Britain.
