Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which medley of cover songs prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On?!!?

For crying out loud! I finally return from a 3-week forced exile from CMI, and have to deal yet again with these d*mn medleys. Argh! I hate these things. For every 1 cool (such as David Johansen Animals) medley there are 99 dreadful ones. Today’s CMI selections would be in the “99” group. Come on Dubbsy, give us a break!

Forced to choose, I’m going with Sigi because I like the name Sigi and he sings in German, which is sometimes fun to hear. Sie Liebt dich indeed.

By the way, did anyone else notice that evidently the way to say “Hey baby” in German is “Hey baby”?

  2. Kerry Black says:

I still don’t understand why people like or respect Chrissie Hynde. Not much to look at; not worth listenin’ to.

Hate to admit this as a Pogues fan, but in recent years the only time I’ve watched this video is when it has appeared on this site.

Interesting to hear the third medley sung in German, but not enough to get the vote.

Who’d I vote for? Errrbody know!

  3. Arnold Plotnick says:

Agree with Doug. These were “Dreadleys”. Chrissie Hynde put me to sleep. The Pogues also put me to sleep. The German guys weren’t so great either, but I at least like the songs they did, so I’ll vote for them. Knock it off with the medleys, Winston. Knock it off!
